BUMC welcomes ALL, no matter your background, age, or life experiences.
The doors of the church are always open as a sanctuary. We invite you to
worship with us as well as participate in our numerous community outreach programs.
We are an inclusive and diverse community. Come with your troubles and with your joys, alone or together, all are welcome inside Brooklyn United Methodist Church.
Together in worship, we can become one family. We can support each other in times of trouble and rejoice with each other in times of happiness. As one family, we love each other with all our hearts.
Through worship, we can begin to understand the love that God has for all his children. We can learn to have hope in this world and to spread that hope to others.
To get closer to God and His hopes for us, we can serve our community, both near and global, brothers and sisters. By helping others, we can share God’s grace with all.
BUMC has two parking lots. The smaller lot between Noble Ave. and Brooklyn Blvd. usually fills up early, in which case the lot across the street always has enough space for all.
We invite you to come as you are. In other words, come in what you feel comfortable worshiping in.
BUMC has two worship services. A traditional-style service and an African-style service. Each service has music, prayer, and a sermon from one of our pastors.
The church office hours are 9:00 am – 2:00 pm (M-Th), closed Fridays. Call us at 763-561-1684 or email admin@bumc.org
Children begin worship in the sanctuary and then will be invited to head to Sunday School. Children will return to worship before the end of the service.
The Youth Group meets at church on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month from 5 to 7 p.m. Dinner will be provided for all teens.
Multiple times per year, BUMC church members, together with other volunteers from the community, pack meals at FMSC for children around the world.
Loaves & Fishes provides free drive-up lunches on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 1:00 PM at BUMC.
We consider our community both near and far, and so BUMC regularly sends teams abroad on missions to help the global community.
