“Hope & Empowerment Around the World & Around the Corner” March 1-7, 16 members of BUMC will spend a week at Midwest Mission in Illinois preparing a wide variety of supplies to be shipped nationally and internationally to people in need. Through its many overseas and local partners, MM sends disaster relief, health, and educational supplies, micro-business training materials, and food packs to “transform the resources of God’s people into humanitarian relief.” Though a partner with UMCOR Sager Brown in Louisiana, Midwest Mission is independently funded and receives no UMCOR money. Our Change for Change offerings will go to support the many projects of Midwest Mission. We also would gratefully accept your thoughts and prayers.
